Rules
(These rules are to be abided by and if broken, they will result in banning and possible deletion from the forum.)
-- Golden Rule No.1:
Language
Role-playing with out the use of bad language is possible, unsurprisingly, and as Proboards allows people of the age of thirteen years old to join their forums, it is only reasonable if everyone compromises and keeps all language used on this site to a PG-13 level.
-- Golden Rule No.2:
Romance
Romance is permitted during role-playing as with out it, the majority of the drama and tragedy that is Greek Mythology would not occur. How ever, sex scenes or posts of a sexual nature are not allowed, for the same reason as severe language isn't. Thirteen year olds may join this site. So if things could be kept to a PG-13 level again then that would be greatly appreciated.
-- Golden Rule No.3:
Activeness
Active members is what decides whether a forum is great... or not. With out active members, who are willing to role-play as much as they can, this forum will simply grind to a halt and, in a sense, become dead. None of us want this to happen, so what can be done to stop it? Posting. Often.
-- Golden Rule No.4:
God-moding
Ok, so this will seem a bit of a pun, considering this is a Greek Gods and Goddess role-play and I am talking about god-moding but god-moding is unacceptable regardless of the type of role-playing that takes place on a forum. Taking control of a fellow role-player's character is not allowed. It not only takes the fun out of role-playing but it was make you extremely unpopular and no-one will want to role-play with you.
-- Golden Rule No.5:
Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus
Nobody is perfect. Not even gods Especially not gods and goddesses. Greek Mythology is like an ancient version of a modern day Eastenders. To put it another way, if character's were perfect and they had no faults then role-playing would be more dull than watching paint dry. It's a character's faults that really give them their personality and make them so memorable.
-- Golden Rule No.6:
One liners
We've all been there; we need to reply to a thread urgently, our muse has left us and we're completely stuck. It is so tempting to just reply with a single line but don't do so. People who post one-liners are extremely annoying as one-liners are almost impossible to reply to. Ignore the impatient person you are role-playing with and insist that you wait until your inspiration has returned before posting. Two paragraphs at least is acceptable.
-- Golden Rule No.7:
Spelling and Grammar
Spell checking has never been easier. Don't believe me? Then click on the button at the bottom of the New Post page entitled Spell Check and see for yourself. Proboards now has a function that actually spell checks your posts for you. All you need to do is remember to click that button before you post on the site.
